Saturday, 7th March 2020, was Cindy Sanyu’s biggest day of her career, and perhaps for her fans. The singer staged a big concert dubbed “Boom Party” Concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval which has entered the records as one of the best on many fronts; performances, tick, attendance; tick. It was a show to remember as Cindy proved her title of King.
People started queuing up as early as 4pm, and by 9pm, one could hardly stretch inside the venue.
Cindy gave an electrifying performance as expected taking fans through a repertoire of both her old and new songs.
Fans sang along to her songs; from those she did years ago, like “Ayokyayokya” to her recent hit song, “Boom Party”.
In the middle of her performance, the former Blue*3 singer would perform other songs like; Whitney Houston’s “I have nothing” and a number of old school dancehall classics.
She was supported by several Ugandan singers including Feffe Bussi, Raba Dabba, Jose Chameleone, Weasel, B2C, Bebe Cool, Byaxy, Karole Kasita Coco Finger and Clever J among others.
The downside of the event, however, came when fans pelted singer Bebe Cool with bottles. It has become the talking point, but it won’t take away Cindy’s shine.
The concert ended at a few minutes after 1:00AM
