Police and other security organs have on Tuesday raided Lt. Gen Tumukunde’s home in Rukungiri.

The information was relayed by Tumukunde through his Twitter account. “A team of investigators from both  @PoliceUg / Security organs have raided my house in Rukungiri rounding up all people @the premises. @newvisionwire is falsely reporting that I am currently on route to Rukungiri. The search is happening without my presence led by RDC Dan Kaguta!”

Tumukunde was arrested last week on Thursday from his office in Kololo, along with 13 others.

Police spokesperson said he would be charged with treason while others would be charged with obstructing arrest.

On Sunday, Tumukunde was rushed to Kololo Hospital after he allegedly collapsed. The police kept guard at Kololo Hospital since he was admitted.

The police, however, did not reveal what he was suffering from. Police spokesperson said only the doctors could say.
