Uganda’s cases of coronavirus are going up. The number has now risen to 646 after 30 people tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday. The new cases are part of the 3758 samples tested on Sunday. 1876 were from border points of entry while 1728 were from alerts and contacts while 154 were from health workers.
Four of the confirmed cases are frontline workers. So far, 22 health workers have tested positive for coronavirus.
Three of the new cases are security personnel in Luwero.
Eighteen are alerts and contacts from previously confirmed cases. These include; 4 from Amuru, 3 from Tororo, 3 from Buikwe, 2 from Kyankwanzi, 2 from Arua, 1 from Bulisa, 1 from Wakiso, 1 from Kampala District and 1 from Kisoro.
Four of the new confirmed cases are truck drivers who arrived from South Sudan via Elegu Point of Entry.
