Police has Tuesday arrested and detained Presidential Hopeful Gen. Henry Tumukunde, The Tower Post reports.
The retired military officer was arrested in Njeru town, Buikwe District, Eastern Uganda. He was still being detained at Njeru Police station.
This website understands that he was intercepted on his way to a consultative meeting in the area which was meant to be attended by only 10 people.
Tumukunde is one of the presidential aspirants for the coming 2021 general elections.
He is running as an independent candidate under a pressure group named Kisoboka.
According to his social media platform, reasons for his arrest are still unknown
