The date for the first Jinja Kid’s Fashion show has finally been agreed upon as 22nd November 2020 at the Source of the Nile Hotel in Jinja.
It should be remembered that the show had earlier on been slated for 10th May 2020 but because of the covid-19 pandemic and extreme lockdown, it didn’t happen.
Organized by Tengi Styles the fashion show looks to embrace and increase the fashion sense and self of esteem of young people and models.
Here, kids will show off their fashion styles with various designers of their choice not limited to Tengi styles which will see winners of the fashion show go away with plenty of gifts.
The proprietor of Tengi Styles, Harry Patel, said that the show will only be attended by a few families with a maximum number of 50 people in attendance due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to follow government and Ministry of Health Standard operating Procedures (SOPs).
“We shall have a few families attending the live show. Probably a maximum of 50 people so as to follow SOPs with a possibility of making it virtual on our facebook page,” Harry said.
According to Harry Patel the brain behind the kid’s fashion show, this is by far the first fashion show of it’s kind in Uganda. “Being the fact that there has never been a kids fashion show in the region we presume that we shall create an environment that will enable an unidentified young talent to see themselves doing what they are good at which enables them to easily transform into the professional world,” he said.
