The Uganda Cranes have intensified training in preparations for the African Cup of Nations qualifier clash against Northern neighbors, South Sudan.
The Cranes will be facing South Sudan at home in Match 3 of 6 of the Afcon qualifiers on Thursday November 12th at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
In preparation for the game, tactician Johnathan McKinstry summoned 20 players who are foreign based and a couple of others who play in the local league and all of them have been going through intensive training for the job.
“Trust your students to be active participants in their learning. By being part of the process, players will absorb more information, contribute more to creative solutions and be more committed to ensuring its effective application,” McKinstry said.
Uganda and South Sudan last met in the CECAFA Group stages on December 8th 2017 where Uganda walloped South Sudan five goals to one.
