The Uganda Police has dismissed as fake, reports that their spokesperson and Public Relations Officer CP Fred Enanga has resigned, The Tower Post reports.
A letter which this website has established as a fake one purported that CP Enanga had tendered his resignation to join private practice.
“After a period of consideration, I have decided that I will accept a position in a private practice office,” the fake letter read.
“Fake News,” the Police captioned the fake letter in a post on their social media.
CP Enanga has been under fire lately with many members of the social media community branding him as a liar.
The recent arrest of Nigerian artistes Omah lay and Tems for flouting Presidential directives on Covid19 are another point that could have been used by the naysayers to circulate the letter.
The motive behind the letter or its origin remain unknown.
