MNet, a South African video entertainment company, has made a call to Ugandan filmmakers to submit original film projects to be considered for production for an upcoming new TV channel.
According to the commissioning brief seen by The Tower Post, the movies should be themed around day-to-day life with a running time of 90 minutes.
“MNet would like to commission original films from Uganda for its channels, on themes that focus around all facets of our daily lives. The films must be authentic in either English or Luganda (subtitled in English). The storyline must be engaging and exciting to our target audience, leaving them wanting for more.” The brief reads in part.
The submitted film proposals will be evaluated by a panel of Judges selected by Director of Channels/Head of Channel and successful proposals will be shortlisted for pitching.
Interested filmmakers can make their submissions via https://submissions.mnetcorporate.co.za/
Deadline for submissions is 15th March 2021.
