President Yoweri Museveni has Tuesday visited Kololo Independence grounds to pay his last respects to fallen Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.
Photos posted on social media show the Head of State at the Kololo grounds where the deceased’s body has been put for public viewing.
“At Kololo Airstrip to pay my last respects to Kampala Archbishop Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga. May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace,” Museveni posted on his Twitter account.
Archbishop Kizito was found dead in his house on Satuday morning.
Post mortem results on his body revealed that Lwanga succumbed to Ischemic heart disease following coronary heart thrombosis.
Multitudes of Ugandans are mourning the outspoken archbishop who had strong love for the country and was always critical of divisive politics.
The government has declared today Tuesday April 6th a day of national mourning to celebrate the life of the fallen cleric.
