NBS Television, in partnership with Housing Finance Bank and National Water and Habitat for Humanity, has launched the Third Edition of the NBS Housing Baraza under the theme, Celebrating Housing Champions.
The Housing Baraza is an initiative committed to driving and sharing the latest knowledge and innovation, demonstrating best practices, and empowering consumers in the quest to achieve truly affordable housing for all Ugandans.
The Third Housing Baraza aims to recognize ingenuity in the quest to provide and obtain decent housing. The discussions will be cantered around;
- Developing homes; a perspective from homebuilders on how they developed affordable housing.
- Building homes; showcases how homeowners creatively built their homes
- Financing homes; stories of how homeowners were able to afford their homes.
The Housing Baraza will target prospective homeowners, advisors, real estate developers, financiers, government, manufacturers, and civil society.
The inaugural Housing Baraza was held in 2018 themed; Housing for Wealth Generation, Improving Household Wealth through Uganda’s Real Estate. The second edition was in 2019, focused on Rethinking Affordable Housing Design and Applying Innovative Pressure to Increase Access to Affordable Housing Access Housing.
“Uganda has had several people and entities who have for long done tremendous work in improving our real estate business – one that is a long-term project for all involved, one that is ever-increasing in value,” said Joseph Kigozi- Next Media Chief Strategy Officer.
“As NBS Television and Next Media at large, we live to inform to transform. We want to celebrate these people and provide a platform to share their knowledge and continue the journey towards affordable housing for all Ugandans,” he added.
