NUP’s Segirinya Finally Granted Bail

Buganda Road Grade One magistrate Doreen Olga Karungi has finally granted bail to Kawempe South Member of Parliament Muhammad Segirinya.

Segirinya who was earlier granted bail by Masaka High Court was rearrested together with Makindye East Member of Parliament Allan Ssewanyana on fresh charges.

He faces a number of charges including murder, terrorism which he was charged with in the Masaka High Court.

In the Buganda Road Court, the legislator is charged with inciting violence which he allegedly did using his Facebook page – Ssegirinya Muhammad FANS PAGE.

While granting bail, Segirinya was ordered to pay cash of UGX 1million while his two sureties were made to sign a non cash bond of UGX 10million.

Magistrate Karungi has fixed December 22nd 2021 as the hearing date for the case.
