Highly Anticipated Phones Expected to be Released in 2022

Tech enthusiasts are excited to see the lineups of upcoming phones this year. Flagship and foldable phones are popping out, spoiling consumers with an abundant choice of good-quality phones. Here are some of the most anticipated phones expected to be released in 2022.

Samsung

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

This phone is a part of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series along with the S22 and S22 Pro. The lineup was launched on February 10 this year and is already available for preorder. It will officially be released on February 25th, 2022. You can pick the color for your Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra from black, white, red, green, to rose gold.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra provides a 6.8-inch display, with up to 12GB RAM and up to a very spacious 1TB internal storage. Camera quality is top-notch with 108 MP main rear camera, 12 MP ultrawide camera with f/2.2 aperture, 10 MP 10x telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture, and 10 MP f/2.4 3x telephoto camera. The battery capacityof 5000mAh is considered large enough to support phone usage for hours.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 The renowned foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is rumored to be launched possibly by the end of August or early September 2022. Yet another source mentioned an earlier release date of March 31 this year, so we will see what will happen. The phone will have a 7.56-inch main screen and a 6.19-inch cover foldable AMOLED display. It will come in the colors of Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black.

Some news leaks mentioned that the design would be somewhat similar to its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Samsung is focusing on increasing the durability of the newer version by including a 4500mAh battery capacity. 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage will equip this Samsung latest phone. Other than that, there is still very little information available until now.

Apple iPhone

Apple iPhone 14

Apple is expected to launch its newest, highly anticipated iPhone 14 in October or later this year. The phone will come with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal non-expandable storage, and a punch-hole front camera instead of a notch like its previous versions. Apple iPhone 14 design will more or less besimilar to iPhone 13 and has a few color options of black, red, green, blue, and gold. Changes in camera quality will hopefully come true with its 48MP tri-camera setup.

Apple iPhone SE 3

Before launching the iPhone 14 later this year, we expect to see the release of the iPhone SE 3 sooner. This phone is a more affordable alternative than its other high-priced counterparts while maintaining quality by having an A15 Bionic processor and supporting a 5G network. Apple is said to improve the camera of this SE version from the current specification of 12 MP rear and 7 MP front camera. Longer battery life is also expected for this version.

Xiaomi Poco X4

We are expecting to see the arrival of Xiaomi Poco X4 in 2022, possibly in the first quarter of this year. Xiaomi has impressed the audience with the previous Poco X3, and the newer series will be an improvement from that. This Xiaomi phone comes with a 6.67-inch screen, 6GB RAM plus 64GB internal storage, and is equipped with a 6000mAh Li-ion battery. Poco X4 will also let you take crystal clear pictures with its 64 MP wide + 13 MP ultrawide + 2 MP macro + 2 MP depth rear camera and 20 MP front camera.

Realme

Realme 9

Rumors mention that Realme will launch its newest lineup, Realme 9, on March 10, 2022. Realme 9 will be housing the MediaTek Dimensity 810 MT 6833 processor in its 6.5-inch super AMOLED display, with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. Battery performance won’t be an issue with 5000mAh capacity and 18 W fast charging. Realme 9 also provides a good quality camera with a 48 MP + 2 MP macro + 2 MP depth rear camera and 16 MP front camera for perfect selfies.

Google Pixel

Google Pixel 6a

The mid-range Google Pixel 6a series will be expected to be released around May 2022. The phone will serve a 6.2-inch OLED screen display with 6-8 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. Google Pixel 6a is mentioned to include a 4800mAh battery, 30 W fast charging ability, and 12+12 MP camera.

Google Pixel 7

Another Google Pixel phone, Google 7, is rumored to be upcoming later this year, maybe around September or October. It will include Google Tensor 2 as its processor with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen. Enjoy smooth usage with 8 GB RAM and spacious 128 GB internal storage, complemented with a 4600mAh battery and 33 W fast charging feature. It’s still uncertain whether Google will finally launch their foldable phone, yet rumors say it might come out at the end of this year. Google Pixel Fold takes inspiration from Samsung’s dual home screen design. The cellphone is assumed to have a 7.6-inch display, not too different from its Samsung counterpart. Other than that, there is not much information yet about this series until further news leaks and releases.

OnePlus

OnePlus 10 Pro

Expected to launch around March or April this year, the OnePlus 10 Pro has great specifications, making it highly anticipated among tech enthusiasts. The cellphone is armed with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with 8 GB RAM and non-expandable 128 GB internal storage. The display is 6.7 inches, wide enough to see the photos taken with its 48 MP wide + 50 MP ultrawide + 8 MP telephoto camera. It will include a punch-hole front camera on the top left corner of the screen. OnePlus 10 Pro will come in volcanic black and emerald green colour options for you to choose from.

Huawei

Huawei Mate 50

This phone was expected to be released on December 31st last year, but it has been a while, and nothing still comes out, presumably due to the ongoing global chipset shortage. An improvement from its Mate 40 predecessor, this version is expected to include Kirin 9000e 5G processor, 6.5-inch display, 8 GB RAM, expandable internal storage up to 256 GB, and 4500mAh battery capacity. Yet, assumptions arise that Huawei Mate 50 might be canceled altogether.

Huawei P50

It has already had its China release on July 29, 2021, but people are still waiting for Huawei P50 global launching this year. Although, the Pro version was launched only for Malaysia and Saudi Arabia last January. Huawei P50 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G as its processor, with 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB internal storage. The battery is 4100mAh in capacity and is complemented with a fast-charging feature.

The infamous Huawei camera quality will be included in this version, with 50 MP + 13 MP ultrawide + 12 MP telephoto rear camera and 13 MP front camera. In addition, Huawei P50 will have a 6.5-inch display, support NFC, and be available in cocoa black, gold, and pearl white.
