African Climate Change Activist Joel Lamika Rallies Youths to Get Involved

African Climate Change activist Joel Lamika has called upon his fellow youths to join him in the fight against the widening and ever growing catastrophic climate crisis.

Lamika who has been holding a number of protests and demonstrations against climate change made the call through his Twitter account on Saturday April 23rd.

“Our Africa is increasingly the victim of imported pollution through those companies that produce plastic bottles without a recycling mechanism. It is therefore time for all African youth to engage in this fight against climate change,” he tweeted.

Lamika’s call came a day after Earth Day, an annual event held globally to demonstrate support for environmental protection.

He joins scores of other youths worldwide who have been spearheading the campaigns against climate change and staging a number of protests to make sure authorities can act.

The youths are anxious about their future on a hotter planet and angry at world leaders for failing to arrest the crisis that grows every day.
