Cranes Left Back Ochaya Joins Egyptian Side Arab Contractors

Uganda Cranes Left-back Joseph Ochaya has been unveiled by Egyptian Top flight side Arab Contractors.

Ochaya joins the Egyptian side from TP Mazembe after the end of his contract with the Congolese side.

Al Mokawloon Al Arab Sporting Club, shortly known as El Mokawloon (which means Contractors) plays in the Egyptian Premier League and finished 15th in the recently concluded 2021/22 season.

The Mountain Wolves becomes the 6th Club Ochaya has played for having previously featured for KCCA, Navibank Sai Gon, Asante Kotoko, Lusaka Dynamos and TP Mazembe.

In August 2013, he also went on trials with German club SpVgg Greuther Furth before his move to South African club Bidvest Wits fell through three years later.

Founded in 1973 by Egyptian Engineer, Contractor, Entrepreneur and Politician Osman Ahmed Osman as the official sporting club for his prominent, regional Construction company the Arab Contractors.

Though the club commonly known as Arab Contractors in English, its called Al Mokawloon Al Arab Sporting club shortly known as El Mokawloon which means Contractors.

The club is based in Nasr City, Cairo and hosts its matches at 35,000 capacity Osman Ahmed Osman stadium.

The mountain Wolves have won one Egyptian premier league title in 1983, three Egyptian Cup in 1990, 1995 and 2004 and Egyptian Super Cup in 2004.

In the Continent, they are three times African Cup winners’ Cup in 1982, 1983 and 1996 as well as Runners up in 1991.

They were also CAF Super Cup runner up in 1997.
