The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) party has started registering its members in Ulang County in Upper Nile State in preparation for the 2024 elections.
The party’s chairperson in Ulang, Chudiar Gai Chuol, told Radio Tamazuj Monday that the registration process has been going on for a week now, with over 2, 000 party cadres registered so far.
“The SPLM party started membership registration last Monday. We started from Nyangora, Barmach, Yeng, and Doma areas,” he said. “2,000 people have so far been registered.”
According to Gai, the registration process is still ongoing and will cover the entire Ulang County.
“Registration is still ongoing. Members in the areas of Yomding, Kerchuat, Kurmuot 1 and Kurmuot 2 are yet to be registered,” he added. “We are voluntarily registering those interested in our (SPLM) policies.”
