RukaPay Showcases Seamless Payments and Gaming Thrills at UMA Trade Fair

The Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) Trade Fair is underway at the UMA Show Grounds from October 2nd to 12th, and RukaPay has joined the lineup of exhibitors with an innovative mix of digital payments, discounts, and entertainment.

RukaPay, a licensed and regulated payment solution by the Bank of Uganda, is using this year’s trade fair to demonstrate how seamless and secure cashless transactions can transform everyday experiences. Visitors at the fair can use the RukaPay app to scan or tap to pay across participating stalls, unlocking instant convenience and exclusive discounts.

But the experience does not stop at payments. RukaPay has turned its booth into a hub of engagement and fun. Attendees can take part in the “Scan, Spin & Win” challenge, enjoy discounts at partner stalls, and test their skills in a gaming zone featuring popular titles such as FIFA, Need for Speed, and Mortal Kombat.

Located opposite the Nile Special stall and next to Crown Beverages, the RukaPay booth has quickly become one of the busiest spots at the exhibition, attracting both shoppers and gamers.

“We are excited to be part of this year’s UMA Trade Fair because it gives us a platform to demonstrate the future of payments in Uganda,” said Ms. Rowena Turinawe, Chief Executive Officer of RukaPay. “Our mission is to make payments not only seamless but also rewarding. By integrating discounts, games, and interactive experiences, we are showing how digital payments can add real value to everyday life.”

The UMA Trade Fair, which runs until October 12th, brings together businesses, innovators, and consumers from across the region. With activities like RukaPay’s, the event is not only about trade but also about shaping the future of commerce in Uganda.
