Uganda Premier League: SC Villa Humble URA at Kadiba

SC Villa cruised to a dominant 3–0 victory over URA FC in a one-sided Uganda Premier League match played Thursday at the FUFA Stadium in Kadiba.

Goals from Diego Missi Ssemugera, Najib Yiga, and Frank Mulimi sealed the comfortable win for the Jogoos, who outclassed the Tax Collectors from start to finish.

Ssemugera opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, reacting quickest after URA goalkeeper Crispus Kusiima failed to hold onto a free kick. Two minutes into the second half, Yiga extended Villa’s lead with a well-taken finish. Mulimi then wrapped up the result in the 68th minute when his shot clipped defender Arthur Kiggundu and wrong-footed the goalkeeper—his first goal for the club.

URA offered little going forward, with their best moment coming on 30 minutes when Fred Amaku’s strike crashed off the crossbar. Yiga nearly grabbed a second late on with a long-range lob that missed by inches after he caught the goalkeeper off his line.

The win lifts Villa back on track after two games without victory—a draw against Vipers followed by defeat to Maroons. Zeljko Kovacevic’s men move to second place on 20 points, level with KCCA, who face NEC FC on Friday at Lugogo.

Struggling URA, who recently parted ways with coach Alex Isabirye, suffered their second consecutive defeat following last week’s 1–0 loss to Kitara at Nakivubo. With just two wins so far, they remain on 11 points, only one above the relegation zone.

Next fixtures: SC Villa will host Calvary, while URA visit Mbarara City for matchday 11.
