Another accident along the Masaka-Kampala Highway has claimed 13 lives and left eight other critically injured.

The accident happened Sunday night at Lubanda Trading Center near River Katonga Bridge in Mpigi District.

One of the tyres of the Fuso truck registration number UAH 970P burst, and the truck rammed into a Tanzania-bound Coaster registration number T540 DLC.

All the deceased were travelling in a coaster, according the Katonga Region Police publicist Philip Mukasa.

The Tower Post has also learnt that all the dead were Tanzanians travelling returning to Tanzania from Kampala.
