Katamba Dennis, a resident of Masaka, won himself UGX1,327,000 Shillings during the sixth draw of Airtel Uganda on going Yoola Amajja promotion which was held at the head offices, Clement Hill.
Other winners – Rose Adera Namukasa, Namisi Doreen, Matovu Balikudembe and Abdul Kitiibwakye took home UGX1,164,000, UGX1,203,000, UGX789,000 and UGX1,270,000 respectively as part of the promotion that requires lucky winners to enter a box and grab money.
Launched at the beginning of November, Yoola Amajja is a cash promotion that rewards customers who are actively using the Airtel Money platform to carry out their daily transactions. 2017 marks the second consecutive year that the telco is holding this promotion that is geared towards rewarding subscribers for using the Airtel Money platform to transact.
Speaking during the cash handover, Airtel Uganda Sales and Distribution Director, Ali Balunywa, congratulated the winners and encouraged all Ugandans to continue using this platform and also stand a chance to win.
“I am excited to be handing over cash to our subscribers today. Anyone can be a winner – simply transact a minimum of three times on the Airtel Money platform and next time it might be you standing,” he said, adding that the only number that will be used to contact winners is 0752 600222.
To take part in the Yoola Amajja promotion, Airtel Money customers should dial *185# on their phones and carry out any 3 of these transactions weekly;
- Send money
- Pay bills like pay TV, water, electricity, school fees etc.
- Purchase a data or voice bundle through Airtel Money
- Top up a minimum of 500/= airtime through Airtel money
- Transact on your bank account through Airtel Money
- Wewole loans service
Lucky winners will be allowed into the cash box to grab up to 2 million shillings and will strictly be called using 0752600222.
