8 Remanded to Luzira for Torching Boda Boda 2010 Offices

Mwanga 11 Grade one magistrate Allan Nyakaana has remanded eith boda-boda cyclists Century Boda -Boda Co-operative Society to Luzira Prison for setting fire at Boda Boda 2010 offices on Monday (January 22, 2018).

Century Boda -Boda Co-operative Society is a rival group to Abdul Kitatta’s Boda Boda 2010.

The eight including Co-operative society’s chairman Sula Lubega have been charged with criminal Trespass, malicious damage to property and being idle and disorderly.

The 7 others are; Hamza Kiggundu, Saul Katongole, Farouk Muyomba, Godfrey Mubiru, Yiga John Bosco, Patrick Wamala,  and Ssebufu John Bosco.

They are said to have illegally entered a one Kityo Kilimuntale’s parking years along Nateete – Wakaliga road that houses the offices of “Boda-boda 2010” and willfully destroyed his fence.

The group however denied the offences.

Court heard that Lubega Sula was arrested by police at Bukesa conducting himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace after maliciously destroying the property and documents of Boda-Boda 2010.

 

The suspects were allegedly celebrating Boda Boda 2010 boss Abdul Kitatta’s arrest.

Abdul Kitatta and 28 others were arrested Saturday in connection to the murder of a Case clinic account Francis Ekalugar.

Ekalungar was kidnapped on January 2, 2018 on his way to bank shs14 million. Police later found his body burnt and dumped in Kajjansi.
