Egyptian club Al Ahly FC head coach Hossam El-Badry has resigned following the 2-0 loss to Uganda’s KCCA FC in the CAF Champions League group A game played at Namboole Stadium in Kampala on Tuesday.
Al Ahly FC confirmed the development in a station on their official website.
“Al Ahli football team, headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, agreed to accept Hossam Al-Badri’s apology for not continuing his mission. The ball committee will hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss the future vision of the team,” the statement read.
Saddam Juma and Timothy Dennis (penalty) scored the two goals for KCCA FC, to secure the historic win against Al Ahly FC, who have won the CAF Champions League eight times.
The win gives KCCA FC 3 points in Group A of the CAF Champions League, while Al Ahly FC remain with just one point.
