All Set for Miss Ma’di 2018 Grand Finale this Saturday

Yes! The Miss Ma’di grand finale is finally here. The second successive edition of Miss Ma’di grand finale is set for this Saturday, 7th July 2018 at Mayor’s Garden Adjumani.

The finale crowns a series of successful activities including the boot camp, unveiling ceremony, trainings, media tours and charity works.

For starters, the Ma’di is a tribe in the West Nile region districts of Moyo and Adjumani.

The region is host to the highest number of refugees in the country and faces several challenges like poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, sexual gender violence among others.

Founded by daughter of the soil, Dorothy Chandia, Uganda’s representative at 2015 Miss Model World finals in China, the beauty pageantry crowns an ambassador for positive change in the local community. This year’s edition runs under ‘Sexual Based Gender Violence’.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony at Penthouse Moyo, Dorothy Chandia promises a wholesome experience of glitz, glamour, pomp and entertainment.

“I am so proud of the team and organisation for this year’s event. We can’t wait to host you all at Mayor’s Garden, Adjumani”, Dorothy stated before breaking down to the massive crowd that graced the occasion.

Reigning beauty queen, Brenda Abio, the winner of the inaugural contest stated that she is elated to witness the transition.

“Nothing good comes easy. I’m so happy to be part of this life changing opportunity. I am so proud to have won the crown and it changed my social, private and public life. I wish all the ten contestants the best of luck”, she stated.

The event will be spiced up by entertainment from Swangz Avenue’s new kid on the block, Vinka , top artistes from region and other surprises. Entrance is Shs10,000 for ordinary tickets, Shs20,000 VIP and a table of 5 at Shs250,000. Contact 0788944450 for reservations.
