Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president Rtd Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu has revealed his decision to leave the largest opposition party in the country, local radio station KFM has reported.
According to a tweet on the station’s twitter account, Muntu made the decision following nationwide consultations that were carried out between January 15th 2018 and September 7th 2018.
“I today held a meeting with party president of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Hon. Patrick Oboi Amuriat to discuss our findings and resolutions. I hereby inform the country of my decision to leave the country of my decision to leave the party,” reads a statement on KFM page which is said to be from Muntu.
The Tower Post however, couldn’t independently verify the authenticity of the statement since it appears nowhere on Muntu’s social media pages.
