As the Anti-Corruption goes on in Kampala today, Police has blocked Dr Kizza Besigye, the former FDC President from hitting the streets. Besigye had announced earlier that he would lead a parallel walk.
The ongoing walk is led by President Museveni and it is organized by State House Anti-Corruption Unit. It is aimed at intensifying the fight against corruption in Uganda.
Police besieged Besigye’s home in Kasangati. A number of police-pickups and vans blocked the exit from his home as early as 6 AM.
Besigye intended to walk from Kasangati to Katonga road whereas Museveni’s walk starts from the constitutional square to Kololo.
