The Ministry of Health has on Monday discharged nine people who have recovered from coronavirus, five of whom are choir members of Watoto Church, Kampala, while three are their caretakers and a boda boda man.

One other person has recovered but according to the Entebbe General Hospital Director Dr Muwana Moses, the patient from Kalangala cannot be discharged not until the community he is returning to is prepared to receive him.

The total number of confirmed cases still stands at 55. The total of recovered cases now stands at 37 (including the man from Kalangala).

Uganda, therefore, has only 18 active cases.

On Sunday, President Museveni hailed medical workers for the job well done in fighting the spread of coronavirus and treating the infected people.
