CURFEW: Traffic Jam Should Not be an Excuse – Norman Musinga

Traffic officers have warned motorists to be mindful about curfew time when conducting their businesses. The warning follows a number of arrests that were made yesterday May, 26.

“What happened yesterday, is that everyone came to the road. There was a lot of excitement even for those who did not have what to do. This caused heavy traffic within Kampala. We saw people forgetting that curfew starts at 7:00 pm. since it was the first day, we warned whoever was caught after curfew time. Today, it might not be the case,” Norman Musinguzi the Kampala metropolitan traffic commander told press.

“Motorists need to prepare themselves as early as possible. Traffic jam should not be an excuse. We shall not listen,” He added.

Yesterday May, 26 was the first day in a while since motorists were banned from moving due to the virus-induced lockdown. Public means are expected to hit the roads on June, 4.
