Justice for Tegu: Stella Nyanzi Arrested in Protest Over Murdered Makerere Student

It is already clear nothing is going to stop Stella Nyanzi from protesting against the government. Even when she is arrested, Nyanzi begins at her last stop.

On Monday, she was arrested again as Makerere University students staged a demonstration protest near parliament over the death of Emmanuel Tegu.

Nyanzi was among the people who joined the students in protest, holding placards and demanding to enter parliament.

The protesters argued that the investigation into the death of Tegu is not yet thorough, that there are many missing links. Tegu died at the University on

June 27, 2020, reportedly due to mob action.

The police dispersed the protesters, arresting Nyanzi in the process.

It was the second time Dr. Stella Nyanzi is being arrested within a space one week.
