Former Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura has this morning lost his mother Catherine Mukarwamo.

Mukarwamo who was aged 92 was has been suffering with poor health since around March, according to one of her relatives, Dizzy Bure.

She has been living in Kisoro district where has spent the bigger part of her life since losing her husband, John Komuluyange Kalekezi, in the liberation struggle.

Kayihura is the only son Kalekezi shared with Mukarwamo.

Mukarwamo is expected to be buried on Saturday.
