The Ugandan entertainment industry has been hit by the sad news of the passing of John Wayne Muganza, one of the people who have fought hard to improve the country’s movie industry.
Muganza, an actor and production manager died on Sunday morning
He will be remembered for his major projects including Chicken Soup produced in 2013 and New Intentions (2016)
He was also part of the production team of local TV Show the Hostel, a show which was about the lives of university students in their hostels.
The Hostel which premiered in 2011 run on NTV Uganda, DSTV – Africa Magic Entertainment, ZUKU TV and NTV KENYA, Canal France International and their African Partners, eTV, Star Times and Rwanda TV.
It ran for four seasons before production was stopped.
Muganza’s recent projects include Mama and Me, a television drama that is currently running on Multichoice’s Pearl Magic Prime.
