The Federation of Uganda Football Associations – FUFA has excluded Sports Club Villa from the 2021/2022 Uganda Premier League – UPL fixtures over licensing issues.
A statement from the Federation says that the historical club failed to complete their licensing exercise for failure to submit the minimum requirements.
“FUFA Club Licensing Exercise; 15 clubs fully submitted the minimum requirements. SC Villa failed to meet requirements in the areas of; CEO and face Governance challenges. SC Villa will be excluded from the 2021/2022 Fixtures,” FUFA wrote on their Twitter.
League Sponsors Startimes further reiterated the development saying that SC Villa’s license had been revoked.
According to the fixtures, the league will resume on Friday October 15th.
