A medical specialist in Mukono has died from severe head injuries after being attacked with a paver by unknown assailants.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire stated that Dr. Peter Mubiru, a radiography specialist at Happy Doctor Clinic in Seeta, was attacked on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at around 7:00 PM as he returned home from work.

“The incident occurred on April 19, 2026, at around 7:00 PM in Bagala Zone, Goma Division, Mukono Municipality,” police said.

“The deceased was attacked by assailants riding on a motorcycle while returning home. He sustained serious head injuries and was later pronounced dead at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

”Following the attack, police launched an intelligence-led operation that led to the arrest of four suspects.The suspects have been identified as Abubaker Mususwa, Joshua Olowo, George Muyanja, and Umar Basibu.”

Owoyesigyire said investigations into the matter are still ongoing, including efforts to recover exhibits and obtain a postmortem report.

“Further updates will be provided as inquiries progress,” police assured the public.
