DETAILS EMERGE: Resolutions Made in Micho-Fufa Meeting

Full details of the Monday meeting between Uganda Cranes tactician Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic and the football governing body, Fufa have emerged.

The meeting was convened after Micho announced that he was resigning his job as the national team head coach over unpaid arrears.

“I worked with SC Villa and left without being paid salary for over 10 months. The same is happening with Uganda Cranes. I don’t feel appreciated so let me go where my efforts will be rewarded,” he said.

The Tower Post understands that Micho hasn’t been paid his salary for a period of over six months. He reportedly earns a monthly salary of $10,000 (about 36,000,000)

According to statement on the federation website, a resolution was drawn that the Fufa CEO, Edgar Watson Ssubi meets Micho’s agent to come up with the way forward regarding the matter.

“The parties have agreed that FUFA CEO Edgar Watson talks to the agent of the Uganda Cranes Coach Micho over the matters,” part of the statement reads.

“FUFA and Micho will release a statement after the FUFA CEO has held discussions with the coach’s agent,” adds the statement.

The final decision will be reached after the meeting between Micho’s agent and the Fufa CEO, although word on ground is that the tactician could be heading for greener pastures.
