Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda has eulogized fallen UPC stalwart, Edward Rurangaranga describing him as a “Principled politician”.

Commenting on the late, Prime Minister Rugunda said: “Our elder Edward Rurangaranga played a significant role in Uganda’s pre and post-independence history, both at local and national levels. He mentored many and was a principled man. May the Almighty God Rest His Soul in Eternal Peace.”

Dr Ruhakana Rugunda was speaking at a meeting he convened at the Office of the Prime Minister on Wednesday 2 August 2017 to plan for the burial of the former Chairman of the UPC, legislator, minister and local leader.

Rurangaranga, 85, passed on Monday night, at his home in Kitagata, Sheema District.
