VIDEO: Bobi Wine Speaks Out on Standing for President in 2021

Kyadondo East Member of Parliament and singer Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has spoken out in standing for president in 2017.

Bobi Wine’s overwhelmingly growing popularity all over the country lately has created speculation that the singer could be eying the top most sit in the country.

When asked by Spark TV’s Zahara Tooto during a recent interview on whether he had intentions of standing for President in 2021 against the “Yellow Man” (referring to President Museveni) and the “Blue Man” (referring to FDC’s Dr. Kizza Besigye), the “Dembe” hit maker said;

“It’s not about the Yellow Man or the Blue Man or me; it’s about us as Ugandans. We have to know that when one does something right, it doesn’t mean that they have a hidden agenda but because it is the right thing to do,” said Bobi Wine.

“When you stick to the truth, it’s not because you have personal interests but because it is what is required of you. I want the people of my generation to know that,” he added.

In the same interview, the singer noted that he will continue to release music for his fans even though he is now a member of the August House.

“I will continue to release music, matter of fact I have just released a new song titled “Super Woman” and the fans should expect more. I am an artiste and music is a mission, it my main way of communicating to people and speaking what’s on my mind,” the singer said.
