Uganda’s opposition kingpin Dr Kizza Besigye has welcomed the decision by the Supreme Court of Kenya to annul the reelection of Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kenya’s Supreme Court on Friday annulled the result of August 08 presidential election that had given Jubilee Party candidate Kenyatta victory over rival Raila Odinga of the National Super Alliance (Nasa) coalition.
After Court announced its decision, Besigye described the nullification as a “momentous” decision.
“The constitution and electoral laws were violated. Fresh election in 60 days. Momentous!” Besigye tweeted.

Like Odinga, Besigye has made four attempts at the presidency, albeit unsuccessfully.
Odinga, Kenya’s ex-premier, once campaigned for Besigye’s rival, three-decade president Yoweri Museveni.
