VIDEO: Navio Speaks Out on Gravity Omutujju Diss Track

Legendary Ugandan Hip-hop artiste Daniel Kigozi aka Navio has spoken out on Luga-flow rapper Gravity Omutujju’s diss track “Black Panther”, which hit the air waves last week.

In the song, Gravity attacked Navio saying he still receives financial support from mother Dr. Maggie Kigozi. He also attacked other Ugandan Hip-hop legends like GNL Zamba and Babaluku.

“Your mother pays your electricity bills and paid your wife’s dowry. You can produce more children, she will look after them,” Gravity attacked Navio in the song, whose lyrics were in Luganda.

Speaking to Galaxy FM’s Jonathan Nalebo, Navio said he listened to the song.

“He told people what they already know; I come from a rich family. The industry has known me for 15 years so they know what Navio is all about already so I wish he was giving some new information. But it’s all good, he can do what he wants,” Navio said.

Asked on whether he would be responding with a song, Navio said he thought about it but then released it wasn’t worth it.

“He’s famous in Uganda, I am famous in Africa; I don’t really have time for that. If I had a more credible artiste continentally then maybe it’d be something I would want to respond to. So Gravity can go ahead and do whatever he needs to do to revive his career because he stopped being relevant ever since the Fik Fameicas came into power,” he said.

Navio also noted that he was surprised that Gravity turned his guns to him and legendary rappers like GNL and Babaluku instead of Feffe Bussi and the others that attacked him in their versons of the “Who is Who” song.

“Am surprised because Feffe Bussi called him out on the last song and now he’s attacking people that haven’t mentioned him. You know it’s kind of what a coward does; Someone kicks them and then they go and kick someone else. Go and deal with Feffe first and then come for Legends,” Navio said.

“But how do you even go try to revive your career by going after Navio who is too established for you, you go after GNL who is now an actor, you go after Babaluku who is now a peace activist and you go after Rocky Giant who hasn’t released for 10 years? If he wants a Hip-hop battle, I’ll give him a few more years because he is not punching in his weight, he is still needs to master hip-hop beats; he is still a ragga artiste. Navio is not in his league man.”
