PHOTOS: Gen. Katumba Wamala Sworn-In as Works State Minister

President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon presided over the swearing-in ceremony of Gen. Katumba Wamala Edward as new State Minister for Works.

In his remarks at the ceremony that took place at State House, Entebbe, the President said that apart from the Army, the Ministry of Works should also be the vanguard of government.

Mr. Museveni expressed the hope that the new team he recently appointed would bring good changes to the Ministry of Works and Transport for better service delivery.

The President congratulated Gen. Katumba  Wamala on his new appointment and wished him success in the new office.

The Prime Minister, Rt.  Hon. Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, Parliamentary Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oulanyah Jacob, Deputy Chief Justice His Lordship, Steven Kavuma, the Government Chief Whip, Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa, the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. David Muhoozi, the Head of Public Service, Mr. John Mitala and the Commissioner General of Prisons, Dr. Johnson Byabashaija, attended the ceremony.
