Popular entertainer and Lubaga South Member of Parliament, Hon Kato Lubwama has been evicted from the building that housed his Royal Theatre located on Martin Road in Kampala.

Court bailiffs were on Tuesday morning seen throwing out Lubwama’s team and their belongings amidst heavy police deployment.

According to reports, Lubwama has not been paying ground rent to the landlord identified as Hajji Twaha Gwaivu for the last six years. The rent arrears are said to be amounting to Shs 200M

“He hasn’t paid rent for a long time but continued to hold shows at the theatre,” said a source that preferred anonymity in order to speak freely.

The Tower Post understands that Kato Lubwama was recently dragged to court over the matter and court ordered his immediate eviction.
