Club El Tanjia in Mbale was on fire on Friday 12th May when twelve DJ’s competed against each other to win the title of best DJ in Eastern Uganda.

After the first round of playing which lasted three minutes, DJ’s Deno, Stoat, Meddie, Sadamix, Genious and Dick 75 competed to win and carry home five hundred thousand.

The second round which also lasted three minute saw the competitors scratching while others simply chose to cross fade from one song to another. It was clear that all six DJ’s were using dance hall music to hype up the crowd.

DJ Genious who was the crowd’s clear favourite, had a team of people in white shirts with the words “Team Genious” on their shirts.

Since the crowd selected their winner and DJ Genious was the clear favourite, he emerged as the night’s winner.

The finale of the 10th edition of the Club DJ awards will take place on 21st May at Lido Beach Entebbe with the winner walking away with two million shillings.
