Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere, King od Rwenzururu Kingdom, on Sunday evening appointed the Kingdom’s cabinet to run operations of the Kingdom.
This comes after the clash between Ugandan security forces and the Kirumira Mutima (Rwenzururu Kingdom Royal guards) in November 2016, which later led to the arrest of  Omusinga Mumbere and other Kingdom officials, who were charged with terrorism, murder, treason among others.
Although King Mumbere and his Prime Minister were later released on bail, they were restricted to only travel in the areas of Wakiso, Kampala and Jinja, and barred from ever going to the Rwenzori Region.
It is for this reason that Mumbere has appointed a Prime Ministerial Commission with 4 members to carry out the duties of the Prime Minister, who is the Administrative Head of the Kingdom.
According to a statement that The Tower Post has seen, the members on the commission are; Rt. Hon. Mbayahi Gad, the Commission Chairman, Rt. Hon. Edwin Kugonza, the Commission Vice Chairman, Rt. Hon. Baluku Stanley Kanzenze, the Commission secretary and Rt. Hon. Misairi Mukwenda, a Commission member.
