Uganda, Italy Move to Strengthen Military Ties

HE. Domenico Fornara, the Ambassador of Italy to Uganda, has today 21st June, 2017 paid a courtesy call on Gen David Muhoozi the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF)  Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).

The meeting took place in Kampala.

The two principals shared ideas on current challenge of refugees in the country ahead of the Solidarity Summit on Refugees.

The Solidarity Summit on Refugees is to be held on Friday 23 June, 2017, at the Commonwealth Resort, Munyonyo.

They also appreciated and commended the existing cooperation in the areas of defence between Uganda and Italy pledging to expand it to a higher level.
