During the sitting, Lord Mayor Erias lukwago moved the motion, to have the Nakivubo Place Road named after Ssebana and no councilor voted against it.
Ssebaana Kizito served as Kampala Lord Mayor from 1999 to 2006.
He will be laid to rest on Saturday at their ancestoral home Kalule parish, Nyimbwa Sub-county, Luweero District.
