KCCA to Name Road After Ssebaana Kizito

Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) councilors have passed a motion to name Nakivubo Place Road located in downtown Kampala after fallen city Lord Mayor, John Ssebaana Kizito.

The decision was made on Thursday morning during a special sitting to remember Ssebaana, who succumbed to stroke at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala on Monday.

During the sitting, Lord Mayor Erias lukwago moved the motion, to have the Nakivubo Place Road named after Ssebana and no councilor voted against it.

Ssebaana Kizito served as Kampala Lord Mayor from 1999 to 2006.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday at their ancestoral home Kalule parish, Nyimbwa Sub-county, Luweero District.
