Basena, Kajjoba Appointed Uganda Cranes Interim Coaches after Micho Exit

The Federation of Uganda Football Association (Fufa) has appointed Moses Basena and Fred Kajjoba as caretaker coaches of national team Uganda Cranes following the exit of Milutin “micho” Sredojevic over unpaid wage arrears.

The duo will hold the positions until September when a substantive coach will be hired.

Fufa president told the press at Mengo in Kampala on Monday: “For now, Moses Basena and Fred Kajjoba will serve as the national team coaches on an interim basis. We took this decision after thorough consultation and the two will be in charge for the games against Rwanda and Egypt as we look for other options.”

Basena, who has been Micho’s deputy and is also UPDF FC Coach, will take the lead role.

Kajjoba will be Basena’s deputy and will also remain the goalkeeping coach.
