PHOTOS: What You Missed at Blankets and Wine’s Kampala 17th Edition

City celebrities, socialites and partygoers turned up at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala on Sunday (August 20th, 2017) to attend the 17th edition of Kampala’s most sought after social event, Blankets and Wine.

Revelers started arriving at the venue as early as 1:00PM, to catch all the fun at the Tusker Malt sponsored event.

There was a massive music mix from the House of DJs as hordes of revelers kept arriving at the event.

Renowned media personality and events host Miss Deedan, was the emcee of the event and as usual, kept the crowd lively with her croaky voice.

For first time ever, a mini-beach was set up at Blankets and Wine by Uganda Waragi through their campaign “Go Loco for Coco”, giving revelers an even greater experience.

There were exciting music performances from Kiga-Flow rapper T-Bro, Ugandan folk artist Joel Sebunjo, Burkina Faso’s pop star Alif Naaba, Rapper Lagum and singers Shifah Musisi, and Generale Czar’bu who were making their debut.

Renowned Ugandan dancehall artist Rabadaba added a dancehall vibe to the event when he stepped on stage at around 8:00PM and took the revelers through a massive performance of his hit songs like “Bwekiri”, “Mukyamu”, “Body” and the recent “Nzuno” among others.

With or without wine, revelers kept on their feet and danced throughout the music performances.

Later in the evening, Nigerian singer and songwriter Deborah Oluwa-seyi Joshua better known by her stage name Seyi Shay, the headlining act of the 17th edition stepped on stage amidst cheers from the crowd that had been wait for the moment.

Seyi Shay thrilled the crowd as she performed her hit songs like, “Irawo”, “Herself”, “Ragga Ragga”, “Right now”, “Murda”, “Killin’ Me Softly” and “Loving Your Way” among others.

The event which registered success ended at around mid-night.
