Buganda Road Court’s Magistrate Samuel Kagodo on Monday morning adjourned the case in which Sisimuka Uganda boss and political commentator Frank Gashumba and two others are charged with Forgery, Impersonation and Possession of Drugs, to December 11.
Gashumba along with his brother Innocent Kasumba and a one Ismail Kiyingi charges while appearing at Buganda Road Chief Magistrates Court in Kampala before being released on a Shs 20 million Non-cash bail each. They however did not take plea because prosecutors were absent in court.
Today morning the trio returned to court but still the prosecutors were absent due to their ongoing strike, a reason why their case hearing was pushed to December 11th.
Gashumba and his co-accused were arrested about three weeks ago and his home searched, with the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) saying illegal documents and drugs were recovered. They were later detained at the Police Special Investigations Unit (SIU) in Kireka before being released on bail.
They are also said to have posed as officials from the Ministry of Defence to obtain money from 2 Dutch nationals under the guise of offering them contracts to supply trucks and others military items to the Ministry of Defense.
