The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has directed the closure of 23 radio stations for running witch doctors’ adverts.

The radio stations are charged with promoting and advertising witchcraft content as well as aiding and abetting electronic fraud.

UCC has since suspended the radios’ licences and ordered them to cease operations.
