President Yoweri Museveni has Monday launched two lines through which the public can report corruption cases in society.
The President was addressing crowds that had gathered at Kololo Independence grounds as he announced his strategy to end corruption in Uganda as well as launch the anti-corruption committee.
For one to report a corruption case using a phone call, they can contact 0800202500 (toll free) while for sms texts and WhatsApp messages, the public can use 0778 202500.
Through the lines, Museveni said, the public can get in touch with the committee 24 hours a day and that the lines would be on full time.
He called upon the public, various stakeholders and members of the media to join the fight against the vice which he said is eating most government Agencies to the bone.
“Fighting corruption is not entirely my responsibility. The public has a role to play in this war,” he said.
“I fought and ended my war of guns in Luweero. This one of thieves is yours too.”
