Ethiopian Airlines Plane Crashes Enroute to Kenya

An Ethiopian Airlines flight between Addis Ababa and Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, has crashed, Ethiopian prime minister’s office confirmed on Sunday.

“The Office of the PM, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express its deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning,” read a tweet from the office of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

An Ethiopian Airlines spokesperson revealed that a total of 149 passengers and 8 crew members were on board the plane when it crashed.
