DETAILS: School Management Speaks Out on Namirembe Hillside Fire

The management of Namirembe Hillside High School has spoken out on the Thursday morning fire that gutted the school’s boys dormitory, destroying students’ property worth millions.

The fire whose source is still being investigated, started from the roof burning down the whole upper floor.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the school’s management noted that only the boys dormitory was burnt, adding that no life was lost and no injuries were sustained.

Dear Parents, Old Students and All stakeholders,

Today 25th July 2019, Tragedy has struck our dear school.

Please be informed that ONLY part of the boys’ dormitory has been burnt.

Affected dormitories are; S.2, S.3 dorm 9 only and S.5 Arts.

No life was lost and no injuries sustained. We thank the Almighty GOD.

The Situation is by far under control.

We are currently identifying the property destroyed and we are doing everything possible to put the situation back to order.

The school is not closing.

We request our dear parents, Old Students and All stakeholders to bear with us in this trying moment and be calm.
